Funerals
What better way to honor the memory of a loved one than with the comforting sounds of the great highland bagpipe. Ease the pain of loss with "Going Home." Render military honors with "Flowers of the Forest." Bid a fond farewell with "Amazing Grace."
Weddings
The skirl of the pipes can make your special day that much more memorable. The piper can greet your guests and lead them to the ceremony or reception. The pipes can also serve to introduce the wedding party and announce the union of the newly wedded couple.
Other Events
Add a dash of highland flair to your Birthday Party, Anniversary, Golf Tournament, Corporate Event, Sales Promotion, or Charitable Cause.
Professional musician fees start at $200 and increase based on a number of factors including, (but not limited to), day of performance, time of day, length of performance, number of pieces, audience, venue, etc.
You may find free or low-cost piping services in your area. Generally speaking, you get what you pay for. It takes proper instruction from a master, a superb instrument, and countless hours of focused practice, to perfect the skills that are required of a good piper.
The instrument I play is a magnificent piece of craftsmanship. Entirely hand made by master pipe maker Murray Huggins, it is both visually stunning and pleasing to the ear.
I pay homage to my Scottish heritage and am honored to keep this treasured tradition alive. Every few months, I travel to WUSPBA-sanctioned events in order to test my skills against other pipers from the western United States and Canada. I'm happy to have enjoyed some modest success as a competitor.
